This site is a space for exploring short stories. It’s a chance to look closely at some of the best writing in the world and unpack the elements (of narrative, language, craft, etc.) that say something important about why we’re here and how we’re doing. The aim of this growing stack of responses is to help communicate what it is about the short-story form and its contents that can make us more thoughtful, aware, connected, empathetic, discerning—ultimately, more full.
